Re: 8/16/2022 Sports

…The only sport I really kept up with was NASCAR. I was a huge fan and rarely missed a race, either watching it or listening to it on the radio. But then they started their Chase format, then started making changes to the car design (I'm all for safety but most of the stuff took away the racing abi...

Re: Intimacy is about truth...

...Sex, by it's very nature is a very intimate act. However, Trusting someone enough to tell them your most inner thoughts and knowing that they won't desert you is the greatest form of intimacy there can be. I also agree and like the way @LHA phrased it, except, I'd change the yellow highlighted w...

It is weird that next year (I think) the Big 10 will consist of 16 colleges after the addition two West Coast universities.
Agreed. I grew up on the West Coast but always rooted for Michigan in the Rose Bowl. New Year's Day is not the same as it was growing up with the system they have now.

Nope. She’s not interested in sports at all unless…family is playing in or officiating the game.

She’ll go to Super Bowl parties to chat and play games with friends.

Re: "Obligation Sex" - #583 Sexy Marriage Radio today

Oddly enough, I just saw this post, but I listened to this episode a week or so ago while driving. I too thought it was exceptional. May get the wife to listen one day (though we’ve made great strides this year.) In fact, that’s the best reason NOT to play it for her. She’d likely take it as me com...

Intimacy is about truth...

Interesting quote, what comes to mind when you read it? "People think that intimacy is about sex. But intimacy is about truth. When you realize you can tell someone your truth, when you can show yourself to them, when you stand in front of them bare and their response is 'you're safe with me' -...

Re: Least Common Denominator

SC said it well, the use of "always" changes the dynamic to not being very helpful for either person. I'd encourage you to listen to the SEXY MARRIAGE RADIO podcast w/Dr. Corey Allan. His wife, Pam, is his cohost now and she is a Lower Drive spouse. SMR has multiple episodes on HD/LD relat...

Re: 08/15/2022 - Lighting Preference

I placed LED strip lights behind our headboard which are multi-colored, dimmable, and operated by remote control. Our headboard has spindles so it allows light comes down a little onto the bed but not in our eyes, it reflects off the wall, and goes up as well. I love them because it never gets in ou...

So much truth in that statement for every part of marriage.
