What is the most interesting “surface” you and your spouse have had a sexual encounter on? Whose idea was it, was it enjoyable, and would you both want to do it again?

Examples might include a car hood, sandy beach, dinner table, water bed, etc.

We're pretty boring. We've only ever had sex on the bed. We may start making out elsewhere but, we go to the bed to finish up.

Wow! You've got to get out more often!!! Or at least make a bucket list to "violate" every room and surface in your house. What the kids don't know won't hurt them...at least until you're ready to tell them when their adults and on their own. Tables, counters, washer, dryer, LR area rug, chairs, kids' beds, sofa, sofa arms, car, trampoline, back deck, friend's pool, hot tub, showers, etc.

Remember the cool, black, marble-like surface in chemistry labs? It was hip high. Three stools, two for her feet and one down low for me to sit on was great for oral, then, for a bend-over, rear entry PIV, it was just right. It is a great memory!

Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. I worked in an industrial research lab for 30 years and that kind of surface was in all the labs in our building. DW would occasioinally visit me, but always during working hours, so we never at a chance to make similar memory. She is also pretty conservative and I doubt she would have tried something like that even if the building were empty. Also, she would have found a lab bench far to uncomfortable to sit on or bend over.

Once, early on in our marriage while hiking to a remote waterfall, my DW grabbed me and we went "off trail" and had a quickie in the woods. This was SO not like her and out of her comfort zone.

The bad thing is that it wasn't planned, so we didn't have anything for her to clean up with. I surrendered a sock to put into her underwear for the walk back to our car! Sometimes we still laugh about it when we drive by that area.

Would we do it again? Probably not. It was a fun memory, but not good sex. We like to make it last now.

We do it on the stairs frequently. We've also done it in the back of the car.

Well lets face it; when young it doesn't really matter unless there are inhibitions in either of you. As we get older, surface, temperature and of course possible witnesses become important and depending on the power of individual sex drive, we start limiting those places.
To start;
bed, couch, easy chair, car seats of cloth or vinyl, counter top of wood, tile, and many other substances that kitchen counter tops are made of. This includes the floor of linoleum, tile, marble, granite, wood, fake wood, and of course carpet. Once you get on the floor and place her posterior onto the floor, she'll let you know how dirty it is especially if dirt of pieces or tiny rocks are there, or if she's on top of you, it will be imbedded on her knees.
Outside is dirt, grass and sand on the beach and all the critters that might crawl by.
Don't forget outside furniture, car hood or trunk.
And we all should consider that if we saw it in a movie, it must be both romantic and comfy.
And DW and I did do it on a deserted island in Tahiti, on the sand and she had sand on her posterior afterwards but as exciting as it might seem doing outside sex, bed seems much more comfy. Again, sex drive plays a significant role here.

Car hood, listening to the cows in nearby field. At night in the backseat of small truck, during a thunderstorm, in a cemetary. In the dark on a parked motorcycle. DW was in front. Rode me reverse cowgirl style. Walked out on a marina breakwater. Knew it was concrete so packed blanket, pillow, towels in a duffel bag. The memories.
