Burning sensation after ejaculation

Post by SLS »

I have noticed a burning sensation in my urethra during my last few ejaculations. I only feel it during and after ejaculation. Everything is fine when I masturbate (as long as I don't ejaculate) or urinate.

I am making a doctor's appointment Monday but I figured I would query the brain trust here to see if y'all have dealt with anything similar.
Happily married to Serafina for 8 years. She is my Venus. ::luv2

Haven’t dealt with it to provide any anecdotal insight. Glad you are heading to see your Dr.

Did not Elvis sing about burning love? Sorry to joke about a serious issue. I hope the doctor helps you and that is nothing seirous.
Blessed to have a second chance. Say hi and share your knowledge.

The only time I've experienced a burning sensation was when I had an active prostate infection. Prostatic fluid is alkaline, and it gets more alkaline during an infection. Your doctor appointment will hopefully give you a diagnosis.

If the doctor does suspect a prostate infection, then the standard treatment ~20 years ago was 3 weeks of Cipro. I thought that it was interesting that the treatment for anthrax (after the 9/11 letters with anthrax) was only 2 weeks of Cipro. It's supposedly difficult for the antibiotic to reach the infected pockets inside the prostate. With my infection, the prostate itself was very tender. After a while with mediocre improvement with the Cipro, I tried some prostate massage which seemed much more effective than the Cipro, though they probably helped each other. However, the initial prostate massage caused a SIGNIFICANT burning sensation with the next ejaculation. However, the improvement in prostate discomfort was dramatically better the next day. I have a family history of prostate infections. I'll do some prostate massage periodically if I experience any initial symptoms of discomfort and it always works to clear it up.

At times I have experienced a slight burning sensation. I kind of assumed that it was due to being squeezed tightly due to DW having a tight V.
