Re: Singleness and Masturbation
This is still something I have and probably will continue to struggle with myself. Since I've installed an accountability app onto my home PC and my phone, I've been struggling with porn less and less; in a good way. Now, I find myself thinking about buying a stroker or a prostate massager, again. But for keeps this time.

Re: Singleness and Masturbation
I would say to continue trying. You're doing the right thing.
Many abstinence-before-marriages have followed that same suit; that talking about sex is impure or bad. This leads many people to thinking sexuality is shameful or sinful entirely.
On the converse, many people counter this by swinging the opposite direction. "Masterbation and acting on sexual urges isn't harmful like they think".
Where you're at, you just need some help understanding the balance. What you're experiencing is God telling you that your sexuality isn't in line with His plan. His purpose isn't to shame you, but teach you His higher purpose. Sex is for intimacy, not gratification.
I would say to you to learn the joy of repentance. Anytime you mess up, you can repent! It's okay to make mistakes, but it's important to rely on God to learn how to manage those feelings.
You feel powerless because they're controlling you right now. In marriage, it's important to learn to control your feelings whether it's anger, sadness, fear, loneliness, hurt, or even sexual. If you don't learn to control them, it can hurt you and your spouse. Because of this, Jesus Christ came to pay for your mistakes so you can learn to not act on those sexual feelings. That means when you do have sex, it's intentional and beautiful, not because you "had to" or to satisfy your own craving.
Continue trying to stay abstinent outside of marriage. God will help you and forgive you. This is the most important thing you can do
